As soon as the neon lights are gone

Some crimson residue and hue

Signal us to embrace this new

And tingle our ears with I LOVE YOU’s

Those everything are sinking

Away from our memories

Away from our silhouettes

We’re left from the world’s oddities

Though we’ve shared strange ties

Yet breaking the phenomenon of blight

We linger for massive indulgences and us

This is not a shaggy dog story

We’re not elements of a practical joke

Seriously, seriously, we are that loved

  1. Seriously, seriously, we are that loved – a great last line to a great poem. the shaggy dog line is also so excellent that i think it should not be the title of the poem, it needs to surprise the reader.

thanks for stopping by plucky umbrella
    and
    nice to meet you, mary
