Sad Nights Reflecting Cold Beers

Our sad nights

reflecting cold beers

matched the sorrows

of tangible foreigners

sailing from homes

We magnetized collapsing

shadows depicting different

postures of normal lives

No separation has joy

except the escape from

domestic violence and

physical abuse

We remain to refrain

from anger that hurts

These sad nights are

reflecting cold beers

  1. This is beautifully written, Chester. I’ve spent many a night alone with cold beers before myself.

You have a completely original voice. Have you entered any poetry slams or done any readings anywhere? You should.
