Sleepy Eyes

Sleepy eyes, sleep

Enter the chasm where

dreams are waiting

Speak to silence

of the midnight hours

of the darkness and beyond

of the God who listens

Sleep, sleepy eyes, sleep

Turn to the sweet and

beauty of dreams

Ask the ocean’s secrets

Listen to the morning lullaby

Leave the madness of this world

Stay where the dreams are almost reality

Chester, how fitting I cross this at 4:30am when I can not get back to sleep. Maybe I’ll read it over and over again until the sheep in my head sing me to sleep.
