This truth that
appears on a
piece of paper
that we call
a love letter
is haunting
us and our
minds question
how we define
feelings that
are created from
an intimacy that
began from
holding hands
and kissing lips
We drop all
matters that
do not matter
and we welcome
our hearts to
both of us

thanks Ian! 🙂
very nice…
thanks for liking it! 🙂
Hi Chester, I really like this one. Do you enter some of your poems in competitions or do you just write them for yourself and your readers?
Hi Rachel. Thanks for liking this one!
I write poetry passionately and to connect with my readers. The idea of entering a poetry contest is being considered though I had a few entries before but never won. Still, I am happy that my readers appreciate what I write! 🙂
Aw new love…a fire storm of emotions! Well said. 🙂
Oh yeah, thanks for liking this! 🙂

thanks again Susy! 🙂
I loved the part about dropping all matters that do not matter! Let’s meet here, in the heart, in that most intimate space where nothing ever happened. The world will not trouble us here – we will not trouble ourselves, now we can see so clearly at last. This Love never came or left, nor looked away for even one moment, but has been waiting always in the stillness that we are.
thanks for the very honest and good insight! thanks for making an effort to share your thoughts here and for appreciating this! you made me smile today! 🙂
So….did the “love letter” matter? You left me hangin with this poem.
hahaha…up to you to ponder on this! 🙂
Me? It’s your poem. I’m curious what began the words flowing. I keep thinking it was something about said letter.
the reference of the love letter is a reminder that more than their (referring to the narrator and his loved-one) relationship is the significance of their feelings to each other…they drop everything that matter except their true love to each other! i hope it makes sense to you 🙂
Yep. Makes great sense.
This is sweet…
oh yeah, thanks for appreciating it! 🙂
