laces chase the rubber space

shoes
soft and hue
on pupils’ feet

walking
running
leaping

laces chase
the rubber space

tantrums are
soldiers marching

destroying the
silence of
dew and dawn

parading
all together
in the race

cheering
finishing
someone has
brought home
the bacon
