we’re on a line
of east and west
too far to touch
too near to hear
this talk
good sound
as our lips
depart words
of little and big
i love you’s

This is very romantic and lovely!

  3. too near to hear…Love that! Reminds me of when we are too close to a situation to be objective…

First time I’ve come across your blog. Love your unique voice!

  5. nice flow, here, Chester. I liked the idea of the lips departing with words, like kissing goodby to love or greeting it with a smooch, depending on how you interprit the poem. Nicely done!

  6. also liked the line (as mentioned by Diana) ‘too near to hear’. this was a brilliant reflection of an oral version of ‘can’t see the wood for the trees’.

worthy of much thinking, this one.
