oF auTumn

saturday breeds
blooming marigolds,
whisking winds
of frantic south
spoil sleepless

cinnamon scent
of alabaster jars
in solid, rich rooms
have signs of
“no trespassing”

warning whispers
becoming loud and
maternal mouth
plots secret stories,
a thousand

bleak thoughts are
never cheerful,
so it accords and
all accords a
hazy morning
