perchance, possibly

if only close to you
but i try to be closer
to the one closest to you
then to get at you

and you have
the better half
and i can’t be
your significant other

floating on a
space where i
sweetly laid my
thoughts of you

secretly and
willingly drowning
myself and wishing
that i am the other half
