the cherokee rose

 

sharp tips
of falling waters
rapidly cringing
on my thoughts
like massive
raindrops

severe recollection
of anguish past
that love’s utter
sound is a wave
of grief

framed is you
and me with
red bold border
depicting pain

no laughter is
an amount of
us absorbing
what love
that’s lost

depicting pain
is our separation

we can’t wonder
why but ponder
