the insomnia blue

sleep doesn’t come easy tonight
when all thoughts replay the
panic and tantrum past of you
and us with all these
consequences
breaking dreams like fading
love stories
in the dark and we have chosen
to be free

there are why’s that make us
cringe
on bed and tossing until dawn

we begin to start but it is
difficult
we consider shutting pictures
that
remind us happy memories and
oh
we’re so intimidated by the
ghosts
of the past that tangle in our
dreams

leaving our sighs to be pacified
at nights
we’re not exactly the way we are
and
totally different from what we
were

we’re crossing our fingers that
time
will not hurt us so badly every
day
but bringing a future that will
change
every waking hours into a daily
habit
of happy sunshine and better
smiles
