They Happen For A Reason

One sun, one moon
and many stars.
They are out of
my sight.

Blue sky, flat
horizon and
black birds.
They intimidate.

Deep river,
slow tides and
deadly quicksand.
They are just dreams.

I can tell you the
difference between
how these things
gone wild and how
these thing are tamed.

Only when I tell you
that you know the difference
in the truth of a better

Only when you know it that
things cannot always be
good at other things.

They happen for a reason.
They happen to exist.
They happen to cease.
