When Truth Becomes Familiar

I have noticed the sad grey clouds.
Hovering in the sky, filtering a good day.
The sun cannot appear completely.
At this time, I’m feeling devastated.

The day you were gone, without saying goodbye,
was the hardest time of my entire life.
I’ve cursed whatever I can think of.
All the memories we shared have been shattered.

I have grown tired of missing you.
But when truth becomes familiar,
I know I have to move on without you.
And it takes all the strength to start over again.
