The Lost Flower

There is one garden
separated from the wild,
from the menacing force of the world.
Where green and pretty colors have drifted
in their loveliest forms.

One flower stood in an unknown corner,
lost in its beauty, unable to bloom in full.
A stranger to many strangers, outcasted,
invisible.

All nonchalance at her.
It hurts, it strips the petals and thorns.
She is a nobody in a place that’s not her home.

When everybody is feasting, she’s left in
a deserted field of sadness and fear.
Only a good prayer is uttered from her
hungry mouth.

The wolves are out there.
The storms can destroy.
The lost flower is in danger.

Her feet can walk a long journey.
Heavens heard the cry but no mortal has taken
the courage to save her.

Are we in thoughts of nothing?
Helpless, reasonably threatened?
The garden can be attacked. Who will save?

Seems that there are few protectors these days…to many of life’s unique flowers going unattended.
