The Smokes Of Burning Dirt

It’s getting darker. The weight
of twilight is not a delight.
We abhor the smokes of burning
, hitting our eyes. We feel tiny
knives, chopping our parts into
smaller pieces, shutting us colder
inside the antique refrigerator.
